Responsibilities
Develops or provides guidance on technical workflows and methodology
Technical troubleshooting and training
Provides guidance to technical leads on best practices, standards, workflows, and communication
Technical coordination with other production centers
Supports project scoping and requirements gathering
Process improvement needs-identification, design, implementation, and refinement
Collaborates with Solutions Developers to automate processes
Collaborates with IT to identify hardware requirements and set up processing environments
Leads testing and implementation of new software
Tracks industry developments and attends technical conferences
Maintains current knowledge of industry standard software and data standards
Collaborates with Sales to understand customer needs and refine products
Assists with cost estimation and new product pricing
Assists with creation and updates of standard technical proposal language
Collaborates with marketing to develop promotional materials
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
3+ years' experience working with lidar data in a professional environment
Exceptional problem solving skills and technical acumen
Excellent communication skills & professionalism
Strong leadership skills
Strong writing skills
Successful evaluation and judgment skills
Expert knowledge of all relevant technology and workflow
Initiative and follow-through
Ability to maintain a professional and positive demeanor in times of stress
Ability to train others using clear communication and provided program tools
Ability to interact professionally and effectively with clients
Preferred
Master's or higher in science or engineering
5+ years' experience working with lidar data in a professional environment
Experience producing and analyzing lidar derived geospatial data for overhead utilities
Knowledge of ESRI, Microstation, Lastools, Terrasolid, and PLS-CADD software
Python scripting and workflow automation
ASRPS Certification
