Responsibilities

Demonstrate gaining proficiency in the inspection, repair and diagnosis of - with some assistance:

Perform electrical system repairs, cooling system maintenance and complete vehicle diagnosis

Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on tractor and trailer equipment including routine

Perform maintenance repairs as required to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles

Abide by all Company policies and safety rules and assist in maintaining a clean, safe work environment

Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues

Maintains repairs for Class A trucks, trailers and yard tractors

Safely operates gauges, forklifts, shunt truck, torches, grinders, and various hand and power tools

Performs DOT inspections and compliancy

Required

Broad understanding of fleet maintenance policies, FMCSA standards and industry practices

Heavy diesel truck and trailer mechanic skills

2+ years of Diesel Maintenance Repair experience

Experience working with air brake, hydraulic and electrical systems

Preferred

Experienced using trailer maintenance software
