Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, driving technical excellence and best practices
Architect and implement scalable data pipelines and platforms using Python and PySpark
Design, optimize, and maintain Snowflake data warehouses for analytics and reporting
Oversee data processing on AWS EMR clusters and manage containerized workloads on EKS
Collaborate with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions
Define and enforce coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices for data engineering
Troubleshoot complex data issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of pipelines
Stay ahead of emerging technologies to drive innovation and process improvements
Qualification
Required
10+ years of overall software/data engineering experience with 5+ years in Python
Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Lead Data Engineer in enterprise-scale projects
Strong expertise in Python, PySpark, and distributed data processing
Hands-on experience with Snowflake (query optimization, data modeling, security)
In-depth knowledge of AWS EMR and EKS for large-scale data processing
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT design patterns, data warehousing, and data lakes
Solid experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional team leadership
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
