Sr. SCADA Engineer (Ignition)
Barry-Wehmiller is a diversified global supplier of engineering consulting and manufacturing technology. They are seeking a Sr. SCADA Engineer (Ignition) to join their Control System Integration Practice, where the successful candidate will work with industry experts to implement solutions for clients and improve their performance.

Responsibilities
Perform a wide variety of duties including implementation of control algorithms in software, development of software data file structures, terminal display formatting and software for data transmission with detailed emphasis on programming using assembly level languages, PLC languages, Visual C++ and other higher-level languages. Also, must be able to develop, implement and employ debugging and maintenance software in the development and maintenance of company products and related equipment
Team building, project management, control system design, SCADA, Databases and database interfaces, data analytics & reporting, scripting (VB, C#, etc.) programming and site start-up support of integrated packaging line and process systems for System Integration & Automation in the consumer products industry

Qualification
Required
Minimum of 7 years of System Integration, SCADA & MES development
4+ years of experience using Ignition suite products required
Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in design, programming, and troubleshooting of SCADA, MES, Analytics, Mobile, Virtualization, Databases, and associated technologies
Knowledge with Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, PLC5, SLC500) and Siemens PLC's, PanelView HMI's, Industrial Communication Networks and .NET programming is a plus
The ability to simultaneously organize and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities is needed
Candidates must possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors
Willing and able to travel as necessary for project requirements to include but not be limited to project installation and start-up activities, client meetings, company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, or conventions, etc
Bachelor of Science in Engineering– Electrical or Computer Engineering required. Other engineering degrees may be considered based on experience
Preferred
Candidates with experience in the food and beverage or life science industries are strongly preferred
Contractor and Construction management skills are also a plus
