Reservoir Engineer Intern – Summer 2026
Hunt Oil Company is a leading independent energy company with over 90 years of experience in petroleum operations. They are seeking a motivated Petroleum Engineer Intern for Summer 2026 to gain hands-on experience with reservoir and production engineering projects related to Hunt’s operated Bakken assets.

Responsibilities
Assist the subsurface team with calculations and assessments to be used in field development and budget proposals
Research and evaluate producing properties, proven reserves, and upside potential of active regions
Prepare property recommendations for future well work and drilling opportunities including economic and technical analysis
Interface with a multidisciplinary team
Present results to management
Qualification
Required
Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in petroleum engineering
Minimum of 3.0 grade point average required
Strong presentation and communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with both technical staff and field personnel
Self-motivated, proactive, and safety-conscious
Ability to work in a team environment
Capable managing multiple tasks and responsibilities
Excellent work ethic
Willingness to provide academic transcripts upon request
Preferred
Previous internship experience preferred
Involvement in extracurricular activities is a plus
