Responsibilities
Drive innovation in chromatography media design by developing and optimizing polymeric resins and surface chemistries
Design, execute, and analyze protein purification experiments to assess resin performance and application suitability
Translate laboratory-scale synthesis and purification processes into scalable, manufacturable procedures in partnership with Operations
Develop and validate robust chromatographic methods supporting product feasibility, optimization, and commercialization
Serve as a technical authority in chromatography and separation science, supporting internal teams and customer-facing discussions
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
10+ years of post-graduate industry experience with a strong emphasis on chromatography media development, polymer synthesis, and protein purification applications
Proven track record in functional polymer design, surface modification, and materials characterization relevant to separation media
Practical experience in protein purification workflows (affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion, or hydrophobic interaction chromatography) and data interpretation from chromatographic runs
Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, manage complex R&D projects, and communicate effectively across scientific and operational functions
