Responsibilities

Responsible for mechanical design management, communicating requirements, establishing timelines and coordinating activities with customer requirements for orders
Collaborates with other employees to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems
Prepares reports, graphs, planning layouts and summaries designed to communicate project progress or results
Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills and training
Recommends and designs components and systems of components working together to meet customer specifications for size, layout and performance
Utilizes SolidWorks (CAD software), 3D and 2D drawings, schematics, general arrangement and production layout drawings, load calculations, stress analysis, and/or fabrication/shop drawings to assist with defining problems and completing engineering projects
Ensures that processes and environmental conditions comply with local and national regulatory agencies and the organization’s safety standards, along with customer user requirement standard (URS)
May provide technical writing and functional explanations of how components work and are integrated into industrial machinery (functional and replacement parts manual)
May help improve production methods, determine manufacturing capacity, assist / coordinate production schedules between purchasing and suppliers
Act as a mentor to lower-level Engineers
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Must be able to work in the US without visa sponsorship
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience
Works as a key member of cross functional teams and must display a can-do attitude that sets an example for others
Proficient use of CAD software and Microsoft Office suite software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to organize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong mechanical and math skills and ability to formulate ideas and create design solutions for internal and external customer needs
