Set Up Tech (Press Die Setter) 1st Shift
Magna International is a leading company in the automotive technology sector, and they are seeking a Set Up Tech (Press Die Setter) for their 1st shift operations. Responsibilities
Required to wear the following PPE: Steel-toe boots (employee reimbursement)
Protective footwear must comply with one or more of the following standards. (The standard number will be stitched or printed in the lining of the shoe.)
ASTM F-2412-2005 & ASTM F-2413-2005
ANSI Z41-1999
ANSI Z41-1991
Safety glasses (provided by employer)
Prescription safety glasses (employee reimbursement)
Hearing protection (provided by employer)
Gloves (provided by employer)
Cut resistant sleeves (provided by employer)
Hi-Vi Vest (provided by employer)

General factory environment with occasional expectations of the employee functional job description
Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment to meet customer requirements
Some of the physical demands of this position include sitting for prolonged periods of time, walking up and down staircases, occasional lifting, occasional stooping and bending
May be required to stand in excess of 6 hours
May be required to lift, push and/or pull 60 pounds
Average mobility to move around a manufacturing environment
Able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer
Able to be flexible in hours of work on short notice in order to meet internal/external customer requirements (scheduled and non-scheduled overtime shifts, etc.)
Possible Shift Work
Some of the equipment and tools used are computer, telephone, fax machine, copier/printer, and a projector
Various types of manufacturing equipment and tools
Qualification
Required
Certified Crane Operator and Forklift Driver or the ability to successfully obtain certification
High School diploma or GED
Profound knowledge of manufacturing and automotive processes and procedures
Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment to meet customer requirements
Ability to set-up and efficiently operate Fagor, Schuler Presses
Preferred
Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Operate standard office equipment preferred
Post-secondary education preferred, or related Tool & Die Setter experience in a Stamping facility preferred
Minimum of 3-year experience with a similar position within a manufacturing environment preferred
