They are seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer who will be responsible for project delivery, client satisfaction, and managing fire protection engineering design projects from proposal preparation to system testing.

Responsibilities

Business development and client management

Be responsible for proposal preparation, project budgets and project work schedules

Perform hydraulic calculations for sprinkler and fire pump design

Analyze life safety requirements for buildings, including building code compliance, occupant load calculations and egress analysis

Perform on-site system evaluations and perform final system testing

Coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines

Grow revenue from existing client base through ensuring high quality work products and regular client interactions

Attend local industry events to create and maintain networking connections

Identify and win new work from new and existing clients

Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide technical expertise

Present project proposals and updates to clients

Ensure client satisfaction through effective project delivery

Required

Registered Professional Engineer in Fire Protection

8+ years professional experience

BS or MS in Fire Protection Engineering or related field

Experience in fire protection system design including: fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, clean agent systems, high expansion foam systems, fire alarm and mass notification systems

Experience in computer generated hydraulic design

Knowledge and experience of building and design codes, specifically IBC, NFPA 101, NFPA 13 and NFPA 72
