The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston is seeking a Volunteer Services Intern to support their Volunteer Services team. The role involves coordinating volunteer activities, maintaining the volunteer database, and assisting with various events and initiatives to promote volunteerism and engagement.

Responsibilities

Responsible for data entry and maintaining the integrity of the volunteer database

Produce various reports and letters including recording of volunteer hours and volunteer usage/participation

Actively and continuously support the efforts to grow, diversify and advance impactful volunteerism and employee engagement programs as well as IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility) initiatives at MFAH

Work directly with the Volunteer Services and Human Resources teams to plan and execute various private large-scale events, receptions and lectures throughout the year

Assist Volunteer Services with the planning and organization of National Volunteer Week activities, including a large-scale volunteer appreciation event and awards presentation

Answers phone for the Volunteer Services off and follows up with callers as needed by obtaining and sending requested information

Prepare binders, manuals, and packets for new volunteer orientations

Other duties as assigned
