Responsibilities
Assist with system modifications and hardware/software installation
Review site drawings, fabricating and testing cables, and validating deployed systems to ensure proper functionality
Provide support to FDIO Second Level Engineering
Assist with FDIO Modifications
Read site drawings
Install and validate hardware and software
Cable fabrication and testing
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of computer hardware - comparable to Comp TIA A+ certification
Ability to follow directions
Able to communicate with various organizations within the FAA
Skilled in using MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of cable paths and protocols (serial, Ethernet, Fiber)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills using both technical and user-friendly language
Possess a flexible personality, self-motivated and willingness to multi-task
Detailed-oriented mindset and proficiency in researching and analyzing highly technical information and systems
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Detail oriented, independent, self-motivated, and a proactive team member
Bachelor's degree in a technical field (engineering, math, physics, chemistry, biology, meteorology/earth sciences, aeronautical science, computer science) and 0-5 years relevant work experience
US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US
Candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance
Verification of past employment, education and references is also required
Candidates must be either a US citizen or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a resident of the US
Preferred
Experience with FAA NAS or Mission Support systems
