Vice President / Deputy General Counsel, Litigation & Intellectual Property (Remote) (914-SLS)
Solutus Legal Search is assisting a high-growth pharmaceutical company in its search for a Vice President/Deputy General Counsel of Litigation & Intellectual Property. This role involves overseeing all complex litigation and guiding the company’s broader risk management and IP enforcement strategy, while also serving as a key strategic advisor to senior leadership.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage the company’s full litigation portfolio, including commercial, antitrust, trade secret, breach of contract, IP, and consumer protection matters
Oversee strategy, budgeting, and outcomes for litigation handled internally and by outside counsel
Provide clear, strategic counsel to executives on litigation posture, dispute resolution, and risk mitigation across business lines
Serve as a strategic partner to the General Counsel on legal operations, innovation, and efficiency, including the integration of AI tools to enhance processes and outcomes
Lead, mentor, and develop the litigation and IP team, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth
Oversee the company’s IP protection strategy in coordination with the AGC of IP, providing guidance on trade secret, trademark, and copyright matters while the AGC manages day-to-day portfolio activities
Qualification
Required
J.D. and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state
Proven track record managing high-stakes litigation and outside counsel
Broad commercial litigation experience, including antitrust, trade secret, and breach of contract matters, with working familiarity in IP litigation and protection (patent, copyright, trademark)
Demonstrated leadership and team development experience
Exceptional judgment, communication skills, and business acumen
