Responsibilities

Performs radiography procedures based on the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) “Radiography Practice Standards” and the ASRT “Code of Ethics”

Understands and adheres to departmental exam protocols

Actively participates in quality control and quality assurance activities using the “APIE” model

Performs venipuncture

Prepares, administers, and documents activities related to contrast

Qualification

Radiological Technologist trainingARRT certificationBLS qualificationVenipunctureEpic experience

Required

Completion of formal Radiological Technologist training from an AMA approved school

Twenty-four month clinical internship required

Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, Required

ARRT certification, Required

Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
