UCSF Physics Research Laboratory (UCSF PRL) - Junior/Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist
The University of California, San Francisco is seeking a Junior, Assistant, Associate, or Full Specialist for the UCSF Physics Research Laboratory. The role focuses on computational modeling using Monte Carlo techniques and the modeling of radiotheranostics, alpha particles, and DNA damage effects.

Responsibilities
The Specialist will focus on computational modeling using Monte Carlo techniques, as well as modeling of radiotheranostics, modeling of alpha particles, Auger electrons, and conversion electrons for the effects of DNA damage
Qualification
Required
Specialists appointed at the Junior rank must possess a bachelor's degree (or equivalent degree) or at least four years of research experience
Specialists appointed at the Assistant rank must possess a master's degree (or equivalent degree) or a bachelor's degree with three or more years of research experience
Specialists appointed at the Associate rank must possess a master's degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of research experience
Specialists appointed at the Full rank must possess a terminal degree (or equivalent degree) or ten or more years of research experience
Applicant materials must list current and/or pending qualifications upon submission
The selected candidate must meet all of the qualifications at the time of appointment
Preferred
Post-graduate training in field
Experience in Monte Carlo simulation of particle transport, tracking, and geometry
The advanced degree (at least master's level) in physics, medical physics, nuclear engineering, bioengineering, computer science, electrical, mechanical, or computer engineering, applied mathematics, biophysics, radiological sciences, optical sciences, or any related science/engineering field
