Responsibilities
Overseeing and managing the operational aspects of projects and staff
Engaging and maintaining a visible presence with MDOT stakeholders
Ensuring the successful execution of projects
Profitability and growth of the operation through winning new projects
Maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
Leveraging key accounts
Closely coordinating and collaborating across business lines
Providing innovative leadership
Qualification
Required
4-year degree in Civil Engineering or related technical/business field
Licensed Professional Engineer in Michigan, with considerable work experience in Michigan and/or neighboring states
15+ years of managing diverse transportation infrastructure projects with a track record of successful delivery of MDOT projects
Background in civil engineering with design of highway, bridge or traffic projects
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
Experience leading and participating in business development activities
Preferred
Experience meeting operational business goals and strategizing on market development including P&L ownership a plus
