Responsibilities
Independently perform routine technical work in accordance with prescribed techniques and procedures
Information and data management related to projects and project management
Ensure project team members create deliverables that meet or exceed the customer's expectations and standards
Work independently but be quick to ask questions and draw upon the best internal, customer, and industry resources to meet customer requirements accurately and efficiently
Build and maintain healthy, long term, professional relationships with coworkers, customers, suppliers, and industry partners
Collaborate on project designs, drawings and visual aids using standard computations and analysis
Create cost estimates and project proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding
Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications and progress reports
Communicate effectively in person and in writing to keep customers, contractors, and project team well informed of pertinent information in a timely manner
Assumes responsibility for filling in gaps in customer communication
Organize and assign project tasks to other staff members
Foster an environment where new ideas are discussed and developed collaboratively
Help others overcome resistance to change
Dedicated to creating solutions to customers' problems
Leading others through the profession of mechanical engineering by providing opportunities to shape their skillset and career trajectories
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
Three years experience in consulting engineering, food processing, wood processing, mining and metals processing or equivalent
Thermodynamics & Heat Transfer: Essential for designing HVAC systems, engines, and industrial processes
Fluid Mechanics: Used in pump systems, piping, hydraulics, and process equipment
Mechanics of Materials: Understanding stress, strain, fatigue, and failure in components
Flexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to drive projects forward
