Start in 2026 SummerHeartland Business Systems, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Associate for their Summer 2026 Internship Program. The role involves working with the engineering team to provide project management support, gaining knowledge on technologies, and assisting in network installation and optimization.

Responsibilities
Work as a member of the HBS engineering team that provides consultative and proactive project management support to HBS’s account base
Obtain knowledge on a variety of technologies and platforms as directed by your leader and customer demand
Provide sales consultants and fellow Engineers with network installation assistance, review, validation, and optimization of systems and protocols
Contribute to, when possible, product selection and research, configuration standards and best practices and educate our sales teams on these products and services so that they can sell them
Cross-Education/Mentoring of other Heartland Interns, Engineers, and related personnel
Contribute towards HBS’ full-time engineers charge hour goal of 1,450 charge hours or more per year during internship with HBS
Qualification
Required
Be enrolled in a university majoring in an IT related field
Minimum 3.5 GPA
Preferred
At least 3 months of industry experience
CCENT or CCNA
