Responsibilities

Lead Business Development (BD) and Capture Strategies specifically tailored to Space Force opportunities, identifying and pursuing contracts within the digital engineering ecosystem
Collaborating closely with Business Units leads to align BD strategies with portfolio capabilities, ensuring proposal solutions leverage Sabel’s core strengths and meet Space Force mission needs
Build and maintain strong relationships with key Space Force decisions-makers, program offices, industry partners, and internal staff to expand Sabel’s footprint in the Space Force market
Conduct Market Analysis, competitive intelligence, and opportunity assessments, in partnership with Business Units to inform bid/no-bid decisions and shape winning proposals
Lead/Support Capture Management, including teaming agreements, proposal development within the Space Force account, ensuring alignment with Space Force requirements and Business Units’ needs
Track and report on pipeline development, win rates, and growth metrics, providing insights to Executive Leadership to support overall company strategy
Represent Sabel Systems at industry events, conferences, and Space Force – focused forums to enhance visibility and foster new business opportunities, coordinating with Business Units and other BD Directors to showcase Sabel’s relevant capabilities

Required

10 + years of experience in business development or capture management with at least five years focused on Space Force or DOD clients
Demonstrated success in winning Space Force contracts, with a strong understanding of Space Force acquisition processes, budgeting cycles, and mission areas
Proven track record of building and managing high-value pipelines, including experience with GWACS, IDIQs, SBIRS, OTA, and CSOs
Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI security clearance
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence Space Force stakeholders and align with internal Business unit leads
Proficiency in CRM tools, and market intelligence platforms (e.g. GovWin)
Strong Leadership abilities with experience fostering cross-collaboration with Business Unit leaders
Willingness to travel as needed to engage with Space Force program offices, industry partners and internal teams
