Diligent Billing Management is seeking an Accounts Receivable Coordinator Lead to join their team. This role is central to supporting the day-to-day operations of the AR department while providing leadership, training, and guidance to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timely completion of tasks.

Responsibilities

Monitor and resolve outstanding or pending insurance claims and account balances

Conduct timely follow-ups with payers via phone, fax, email, and payer websites

Investigate and resolve claim rejections using systems such as Realmed and Availity

Research credit balances and escalate to the Refunds Department when appropriate

Maintain and update payer guidelines, ensuring internal teams are informed of changes

Assist Patient Services with statement requests, itemized bills, and account research

Support onboarding and continued development of the AR team through training, mentoring, and skill-building

Distribute workload, monitor task completion, and ensure departmental efficiency

Prepare and submit detailed billing documentation for escalations and payer appeals

Partner cross-departmentally on projects, bringing AR expertise to organizational initiatives

Communicate issues, trends, and process improvement opportunities to AR leadership
