Responsibilities
Outpatient medical consultation services under the supervision of a physician in our medical office
Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating new and existing patients’ medical conditions
Conducting follow-up patient care
Ordering and interpreting lab, radiology, and other diagnostic study results
Prescribing and referring patients for consultations when appropriate
Answering emergency telephone calls on a rotating schedule
Administering and ordering drugs for patients
Completing all notes/tasks in patients’ EMR accounts indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed
Performing patient physicals
Providing health education to patients and families
Supervising/coordinating the activities of patient care and support staff within the clinic
Performing other duties as assigned in accordance with a nurse protocol agreement
Qualification
Required
Minimum 1-year clinical experience in Primary Care, Family Practice, or Urgent Care [required]
Master's in Nursing or Master's in Physician Assistant [required]
Current Licensed as Family Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician Assistant in Georgia [required]
Current board certification by AANP/ANCC (NPs) or NCCPA (PAs) [required]
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Preferred
Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility to obtain [preferred]
