The Survey Crew Chief will focus on land surveying fundamentals, lead a survey crew, and ensure efficient and accurate data collection while supporting the Survey Department in daily operations.

Responsibilities
Lead a team of surveyors to ensure efficient and accurate data collection
Oversee the team’s field survey operations, equipment setup, and quality control measures
Address client concerns and provide exceptional customer service throughout the project
Proficiency in surveying equipment (especially Trimble equipment), Total Station, and GPS
Manage Survey data processing workflows
Ensure Compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards governing land surveying activities
Provide training, coaching, and professional development opportunities for team members
Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols for the entire crew
Conducting precise measurements and assessments of land/properties
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
4 years of progressive experience in land survey field operations and proficient with land surveying equipment
Lead a team of surveyors to ensure efficient and accurate data collection
Oversee the team's field survey operations, equipment setup, and quality control measures
Address client concerns and provide exceptional customer service throughout the project
Proficiency in surveying equipment (especially Trimble equipment), Total Station, and GPS
Manage Survey data processing workflows

Provide training, coaching, and professional development opportunities for team members
Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols for the entire crew

Preferred
Previous experience as a crew chief
Drone pilot experience
Knowledge of the outdoors
Knowledge of plant/tree species
Foster a collaborative and cohesive team environment
Valid SC Driver's License
