DePaulo Consulting, LLC. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Logistics Broker to join their team. This fully remote, commission-based role focuses on generating new business, managing the sales cycle, and providing excellent customer service in the logistics industry.

Responsibilities

Generate new business by identifying and prospecting potential customers who need freight services. This includes cold calling, networking, and leveraging existing industry contacts
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and quoting to closing deals and maintaining strong customer relationships
Source and vet reliable carriers to match customer freight needs, ensuring timely and cost-effective transport solutions
Negotiate rates with both shippers and carriers to maximize profitability while providing competitive pricing for customers
Provide excellent customer service by communicating with clients and carriers throughout the shipping process, resolving any issues that may arise, and providing real-time updates
Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and proactively address any potential delays
Maintain accurate records of all activities, including sales, customer interactions, and carrier information, within our CRM system

Required

Multiple years of experience in logistics, operations management, and/or third-party logistics (3PL)
Proven success in a sales or brokerage role with a strong understanding of freight markets and industry trends
Extensive knowledge of various freight types, including FTL (Full Truckload), LTL (Less Than Truckload), and other specialized services
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with both clients and carriers
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges
Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment

Preferred

A pre-existing book of business is a plus
