Responsibilities
Defending Chubb insured clients in a wide range of claims involving employment discrimination, housing discrimination, and Directors’ and Officers’ liability
Responding to demand letters
Charges of discrimination at the administrative agency level
Litigation in state and federal courts
Administrative agency work
Preparing position statements and responses
Appearing at agency hearings and other proceedings
Trial work
Conducting and defending depositions
Engaging in other pre-trial discovery
Drafting pleadings
Engaging in motion practice
Researching, briefing and arguing appellate matters
Representing client at mediations
Negotiating settlements
Complying with Chubb litigation guidelines
Generating reports and evaluations on assigned cases
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the state of Texas
Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment litigation
Experience with administrative agency work and trial work
Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
Experience representing a diverse range of clients, including corporations and non-profit organizations
