Staff Technical Product Manager

Responsibilities
Support product strategy execution: Collaborate with senior product leaders to refine and execute the product vision and roadmap for key verticals within Scout's consumer-facing digital suite. Help translate high-level goals into actionable product initiatives that support our direct-to-consumer sales and delivery model. Leverage strong problem-solving skills to navigate evolving priorities in a fast-paced, startup environment
Champion user experience: Advocate for the customer throughout the product development lifecycle. Partner with Design and UX teams to create intuitive and impactful digital experiences that support a seamless vehicle-buying journey. Continuously seek user feedback and help translate insights into functional improvements
Drive cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Design, R&D, and Operations to deliver high-quality product features. Support alignment across teams by clarifying requirements, identifying potential blockers, and proposing well-reasoned solutions
Manage key stakeholder relationships: Act as a trusted advisor to internal and external partners, presenting solutions that align with broader business goals. Be a natural relationship builder and clear communicator
Operationalize products: Oversee the roll-out of technical solutions to the marketplace, ensuring performance, reliability and consumer adoption achieve agreed upon outcomes
Drive technical excellence: Collaborate with engineering teams to make informed trade-offs and support scalable, secure product development. Apply working knowledge of APIs, data systems, and platform capabilities to contribute to sound technical decisions
Measure and optimize: Define and monitor key success metrics. Analyze product data to identify areas of opportunity and support iterative improvements
Qualification
Required
8+ years of product management experience, with a strong emphasis on consumer facing digital products
Demonstrated success in building and launching complex digital experiences enjoyed by millions —or billions — of people around the world
Clear sense of what good software looks like
Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, and cloud technologies
Experience with enterprise-level systems such as CRM, ERP, or service management platforms
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to influence and align diverse stakeholders
Data-driven decision-making abilities and experience with tools for analytics and performance measurement
Preferred
Automotive experience is a plus but not required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
