Senior Director, Human Resources

They are seeking a hands-on Senior Director of Human Resources to develop and execute a comprehensive human resources strategy, overseeing various HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, and compliance.

Responsibilities

Understand the company mission and performs all duties in line with corporate values
Provide focused, business-minded HR leadership to the business and is part of its success by translating business vision and strategy into an executable people strategy
Leads by example through the tactful expression of opinions, always with an eye towards providing productive solutions
Sets a positive tone for employee communications and be a resource for employee relations throughout the organization
Address concerns and questions from employees
Develop human resources operational plans and financial strategies by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances
Oversee in-house management of payroll and benefit function, maintenance of HRIS system, in addition to managing the relationship with Professional Employer Organization (PEO) provider outside of US (Atlas or other PEO, if applicable)
Conduct annual review of employee benefits program, make recommendations as necessary, and facilitate open enrollment process
Ensures compliance and adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, company policies and procedures
Communicates changes in personnel policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed
Develop policies across multiple office locations and geographies, both within the US and abroad
Ensure employment compliance and employment laws are met and monitored; work with legal teams as needed for related matters
Oversees the team to manage recruitment pipeline in addition to providing excellent experience with all other employment lifecycle related support (onboarding, offboarding, parental leave, etc.)
Leads and contributes to long-term talent development, retention, and succession planning
Coach and mentor employees, and managers; provide motivation and growth opportunities for optimum engagement and performance
Supports and collaborates with leadership by providing human resource direction, advice, and counsel regarding employee growth and management
Facilitates performance review process that aligns company values and business objectives with employee professional and personal goals
Recommends and implements procedures to manage turnover
Consults with legal counsel as appropriate on personnel matters
Responsible for identifying, assessing, and developing, training and development needs across the organization
Oversees the training of individuals or groups of employees
Coordinate management training in interviewing, selection, terminations, promotions, performance management, and employee relations training

Required

10+ years of demonstrable experience in progressive leadership HR roles with strong working knowledge of all key functional areas of people, processes, and tools, such as employee relations, compensation/benefits, training and development
BA/BS
HR experience in the real estate or life science industry
Experience as a strategic business driver with credibility as a trusted advisor and confidant to senior management, ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
Poised and professional with ability to connect with team members at all levels of the organization
Ability to anticipate people or leadership changes needed
Has a track record of positive results contributing to the growth and bottom-line profitability of an organization while driving cultural change
Ability to develop positive, professional relationships with senior leadership and peers in a heavily matrixed environment
Self-motivated with bias for action
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, act with a high level of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and emotional intelligence
Strong project management skills with ability to execute on short- and long-term deliverables
Ability to handle contending priorities
A strategic problem solver, who uses data and analytics to inform decision making and leadership coaching
