Responsibilities
Primarily, you will assist our team of attorneys in delivering legal advice in the form of title opinions and legal memoranda on oil and gas title, operational, and regulatory law issues that arise in the course of conducting exploration and production activities
You will also perform legal research, and draft oil and gas caselaw briefs for our Case Law Update, published annually
Qualification
Required
Must be a rising second or third year student, either part or full time
Preferred
Ideal candidates have taken a course on Oil and Gas Law, Community Property, and Texas Land Titles
Direct experience as a landman or with oil and gas titles is also preferred
Nice to have 2 to 5 years of oil and gas title, transactional, litigation or regulatory experience, which will be compensated accordingly
