Responsibilities
Perform analysis and advanced support/troubleshooting for reported issues on business systems applications
Write SQL scripts to fix complicated data issues in production systems
Write and modify SQL stored procedures, views, triggers, and functions
Write data extract scripts
Perform performance tuning of long running SQL code, reports, or scripts
Identify and document application defects and enhancements
Test and validate resolutions of defects/enhancements and document test results
Execute Business Requirement Documents(BRDs) and Functional Requirement Documents(FRDs) to implement new projects within the business systems applications
Participate in testing of new software releases, system maintenance, and upgrades
Support business user acceptance testing
Work with business stakeholders and understand their needs to translate them into technical requirements and solutions
Prepare code deployments through standardized change management processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's/Master's Degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering)
6+ years of experience
Strong communication skills
Understanding of Microsoft T-SQL and database principals
Microsoft T-SQL
Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
Microsoft SQL Profiler
Ability to write operational and application documentation
Preferred
Background in higher education
Knowledge of Anthology Student or other SIS systems
Knowledge of Brightspace or other LMS systems
Experience with back office applications
Microsoft SQL Server Integration Studio (SSIS)
Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Crystal Reports development and maintenance
SSIS package development and maintenance
