Senior Vice President, UX Studio Designer

They are seeking a Senior Vice President, UX Studio Designer to provide guidance and technical expertise in user experience activities, including user research, interactive design, and visual design, while mentoring junior designers and advocating for user experience across the firm.

Responsibilities

Provide guidance and technical expertise for the most complex user experience activities that include user research and testing, interactive design, and visual design
Review documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams, as well as new and modified user personas
Participate and provide guidance in the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications to meet project schedules
Synthesize situations and information across multiple factors
Seek to build expertise while applying company policies and procedures in the resolution of a variety of issues
Give design feedback
Build effective relationships with people on their immediate team and across other teams
Get involved with team process and organization
Help to mentor and train more junior designers
Be a strong communicator that checks for understanding, asks questions to understand others’ point of view, and advocates for the user experience across the firm
Operate from a Studio centric model, receiving general instructions on routine work from a Lead Designer and exercising discretion and executing under limited supervision

Required

Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human computer interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required
10-12 years of experience required

Advanced degree preferred
Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
