As a Skills Instructor, you will help adults cultivate essential skills for successful employment and community participation while providing person-centered instruction and support.

Responsibilities

Provide person-centered instruction through planned community activities
Support individuals in accessing community resources, planning engaging activities, and strengthening their skill sets
Take individuals on community outings—whether for appointments, errands, or just to enjoy the day
Track and document progress, capturing accurate and concise case notes
Redirect inappropriate behaviors and facilitate positive resolutions to challenges
Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support

Qualification

CPR CertificationDevelopmental disabilitiesPerson-centered instructionBehavior managementTeam collaboration

Required

A caring heart and a commitment to helping others live with dignity and independence
Reliable transportation to and from work
A valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and insurance
Willingness to undergo a state and federal fingerprint background check
CPR Certification and a recent TB test (we can help you obtain both if needed)

Preferred

Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities
