Entry-Level Structural Engineer (Start Summer/Fall 2026)

They are seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer (EIT) to support capital projects, create structural design documents, and work with a team of industry experts to deliver high-quality solutions to clients.

Responsibilities

Work with designers and licensed engineers to learn to create and assemble a complete set of structural design documents
Become trained in seismic force resisting systems in high seismic design categories, gravity and lateral load path calculations, and analysis of structural systems used in manufacturing, distribution, and other industrial and commercial facilities
Assist with field conditional assessments
Assist in the design of structural systems for new and existing industrial facility applications
Work on gravity and lateral load path calculations and analysis
Utilize analysis software and AutoCAD
Create construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
Develop specifications and interface with on-site and remote cross functional project teams
Keep abreast of changes in codes and industry standards at the state and national levels
Work on structural design concept documents
Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team

Required

A minimum of one year of experience as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in industrial structural design and engineering or two years of equivalent co-op or internship experience
Experience with 3D structure analysis software (RISA 3D, SAFE)
An understanding of heavy equipment support structure and foundation design
An understanding of seismic force resisting systems in high seismic design categories
An understanding of gravity and lateral system strengthening of construction materials
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact successfully with our team members and clients
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
A willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions
A bachelor of science in civil engineering from an ABET institution
An Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification

Preferred

Experience in the structural design of facilities for the food/beverage, pharma/life science, or consumer products industry
Proficient in Revit
A master of science in structural engineering
