Responsibilities
Help supervise the IT network staff
Ensure that all network data and system development information is secure and follows cyber security protocols
Maintaining data and monitoring security
Planning, implementing and upgrading security measures, policies and controls
Conducting internal and external security audits
Analyzing security breaches
Conduct penetration testing
Manage network, intrusion detection and prevention systems
Research, recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures
Coordinate security plans with outside vendors
Protect digital files and information systems against unauthorized access, modification or destruction
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or five years of professional experience in information systems or any equivalent combination of training and experience in information security
Working knowledge and understanding of network protocols and system behavior
Knowledge of ISO27001, DLP, AV, anti-malware, TCP/IP, computer networking, cloud computing, routing and switching
Understanding of Windows, UNIX and Linux operating systems
Proficiency in C, C++, C#, Java or PHP programming languages
Experience in penetration testing
Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work well independently or with a team
Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and the general public
Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with limited or no supervision
Preferred
Experience in penetration testing
