CIVIL ENGINEER III (EN-22) [1 vacancy]
NEOGOV, through the Department of Environmental Services, is seeking a Civil Engineer III to perform professional engineering work related to environmental compliance. The role involves data gathering, engineering calculations, field investigations, and preparing reports and permit applications for various environmental permits.

Responsibilities
Gather data from various sources (e.g., fence line monitoring, and well testing) and prepare correspondence, reports, and permit applications to comply with permit requirements
Perform engineering calculations of monitoring or other data, analyze data for compliance, trends, or environmental activities, and prepare graphs, tables, charts, etc
Research and gather data and information for Federal and State lawsuits and administrative enforcement actions
Conduct field investigations and take field measurements and samples to gather data on spills, bypasses, seepage incidents, odor problems, and plant effluent quality problems
Evaluate findings, make conclusions, and recommend corrective actions. Prepare written reports to substantiate findings and recommendations
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment
Equivalent to graduation from a regionally-accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in an engineering specialty
Two year(s) of non-registered professional civil engineering experience
Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license, as required
Preferred
A Master's degree in Civil Engineering from a regionally-accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required non-registered professional civil engineering experience
