Responsibilities
Construction management and inspection support associated with water supply, distribution, and planning projects
Interfacing with contractors during construction
Client interaction and teamwork with design engineers and other disciplines
Coordinating permitting efforts with various local regulatory agencies, including local and State health departments and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC)
Qualification
Required
At least a bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or closely related discipline
3 – 6 years of experience
Willingness and ability to complete field work. This can involve climbing elevated structures, descending into excavations, entering confined spaces (below ground vaults or above ground storage tanks) and being in the vicinity of heavy construction equipment and vehicles
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD a plus
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Self-motivated and eager to learn
Preferred
FE/EIT and OSHA training is a plus, but not required
