5+ years expHighspeed Staffing is seeking a skilled Hydrologic & Hydraulic (H&H) Engineer to join a fast-growing team dedicated to innovative flood and water resource solutions. The role involves conducting hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, performing flood risk assessments, and ensuring regulatory compliance while providing mentorship to junior engineers.
Responsibilities
Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for stormwater, riverine, and floodplain systems
Perform flood risk assessments, drainage studies, and mitigation planning
Design and evaluate stormwater systems, culverts, and detention basins
Lead FEMA (C)LOMR/MT-2 regulatory submissions and associated documentation
Ensure regulatory compliance through collaboration with clients, agencies, and internal teams
Support permitting efforts for water resource and floodplain projects
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and review modeling results
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
Qualification
Required
Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 years of H&H engineering experience
Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ICPR, Civil 3D, and GIS
Experience with FEMA LOMR/MT-2 floodplain mapping and stormwater management design
MT-2 experience required
Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively
Preferred
Project management experience preferred
PE license preferred
FEMA project background highly desirable
