New Graduate Surgical Technologist (CST)
Rochester Regional Health is dedicated to providing quality healthcare, and they are seeking a New Graduate Surgical Technologist. In this role, you will assist the surgical team by managing instruments and ensuring sterilization during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
CME maintenance: Must maintain at least 15 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) per year
Supply check & sterilization: Ensure all supplies, instrumentation and equipment are available and sterilized for surgical procedures and proper operation
Orientation: Assist in guiding medical/nursing students and technicians to the unit
Draping & maintenance: Assist with draping procedures and demonstrates vigilance in maintaining overall sterility in the operation room
Unit development: Help identify goals and objectives of the unit
Qualification
Required
Completed a military surgical technology program -OR-
Grand-Fathering Clause: Provides evidence he or she was employed as a surgical technologist in a healthcare facility for a cumulative period of one year, occurring between 12/31/10 – 12/31/14. -OR-
Graduated from a Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP)- or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)- accredited program with a Surgical Technology major AND holds and maintains Certified Surgical Technologist certification from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)within 12 months of graduation
