Responsibilities

Perform a variety of routine and advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures while monitoring and maintaining essential patient safety under general supervision

Maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients throughout the MRI area; educate patients regarding their procedure and maintain a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for the patient throughout the exam

Transfer imaging data for archiving and post-data processing; maintain accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures

Required

A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or completion of a Radiologic Technology hospital certificate program

NYS license in Radiologic Technology required OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire

American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT-R) required within 6 months of employment

NYS Injection Certification within 6 months of employment. If hired on or before September 13, 2021, a NYS Injection Certification is required by September 1, 2022

BLS Certification within 6 months of employment

Official transcript from accredited school or letter emailed directly from the school's registrar's office confirming program completion will be accepted upon graduation

Primary source education verification required within 90 days of graduation
