As a Processing Maintenance & Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting plant operations and assist in projects focused on equipment performance and process efficiency.

Responsibilities
Assist with equipment performance evaluations to identify opportunities for improving reliability and efficiency
Support the development of process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing plant throughput
Participate in maintenance projects, including troubleshooting and small design modifications
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to analyze workflows and recommend improvements
Gain exposure to preventive and predictive maintenance practices in a large-scale processing environment
Assist with data collection and reporting related to downtime, maintenance costs, and equipment performance
Shadow plant engineers and maintenance leaders to learn project planning, scheduling, and execution
Qualification
Required
Must be currently enrolled and pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university
Valid Driver's license
Must pass the Mountaire Motor Vehicle Record check
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
Engineering background
Basic understanding of CAD or similar software
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Communication & project management skills
Willingness to work in a fast-paced processing plant environment, including exposure to cold/wet conditions and production equipment
Ability to work independently and with teams
Adaptable and flexible, open to rotating through different areas of the plant
Strong willingness to learn
