Director, Consumer Product Marketing

Responsibilities

Lead the team of high-performing product marketers who develop and execute Spotify’s global product marketing strategy
Leverage consumer insights to define the audience, positioning, and messaging for Spotify’s portfolio of product tiers and features
Partner deeply with Spotify’s R&D organization to set product priorities and shape the consumer narrative about Spotify product experience
Represent Marketing in the cross-functional leadership committees that steer high priority company initiatives
Build integrated marketing campaigns that break through and get consumers excited about Spotify’s roadmap of innovations
Push for creative excellence in all of our product marketing, inspiring our internal and external Creative partners to raise the bar with their work
Collaborate closely with other Marketing teams (Brand, Consumer, Music, Podcasts, Audiobooks) to ensure the product is positioned in the right way across marketing initiatives
Guide Spotify’s Regional Marketing teams to understand the global product marketing strategy and adapt product marketing initiatives
Act as a thought leader within Marketing, inspiring the organization to innovate and embrace new ways of communicating about our product
Lead with vision, over the short term and long term, to help Spotify unlock its biggest opportunities and navigate its biggest challenges

Required

15+ years of experience in Marketing
10+ years of experience in Product Marketing
Proven success overseeing marketing for a complex and evolving product roadmap
Managed category-leading brands known for their innovation and creativity
Built large scale integrated marketing campaigns and contributed to world-class creative work
Data-driven marketer that knows how to identify insights and use them to build winning strategies
Organized, managed, and motivated a large team of high-performing marketers
Built relationships with, communicated to, and influenced senior executives
Highly collaborative and excel in cross-functional environments
Flexible and can adapt to fast-changing circumstances
