They are seeking a Principal Engineer, Compute Software System Architect to engage with customers, define architecture for AI fabrics, and lead a team of engineers while maintaining technical relationships with key partners.

Responsibilities
Define, review, and recommend complex compute solutions, as well as related optimization, performant, and monitoring strategies. Focus on AI Compute systems and how they evolve to meet the demands of future networks
Develop and maintain close technical relationships with customers and key technology and partners on product roadmaps
Lead RFQ SW and/or system technical responses and Celestica platform concept development efforts as appropriate
Provide effective trade-off analysis and competitive guidance to engineering teams and customers
Enable effective demonstrations of target solutions and features through specific POCs, managing high valued customer expectations
Deliverables include System Requirements Documents (SRD), requirement compliance assessments, and Technical proposals
Act as a primary technical interface between Celestica and our customers, particularly in technical escalation
Provide technical support to business development teams to assist in the winning of new business
Identify and Champion process improvement efforts as needed
Participate in standards committees and industry groups as assigned
Prepare and present technical presentations to customers, industry groups, tradeshows, etc
Maintain current on industry trends and future technology and market opportunities
Qualification
Required
15+ years of experience in software engineering, with a demonstrated ability to lead and deliver complex projects in a customer-facing role
Strong foundation in software engineering principles, design patterns, and relevant technologies (e.g., cloud computing, micro-services, AI/ML)
Working experience with Compute SW Stacks, and competitive references with NVidia, AMD, Intel and others
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to build strong customer relationships
Deep understanding of quality assurance methodologies and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions
Experience with and understanding of emerging technologies, with the ability to identify and leverage them to solve customer challenges
Able to translate customer needs into technical solutions and align engineering efforts with business goals
Be a thought leader for internal and external stakeholders, able to network effectively in a global environment
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Advanced studies in Business/Operations/Technology are recommended
