Solomon Page is partnering with a globally publicly traded market leader to create the new role of Assistant Controller. This role will focus on the monthly close process and serve as a key contact for various global business units involved in group consolidations.

Responsibilities

Manage the month-end close process and group consolidation(US GAAP)

Partner with the various accounting teams accountable for their close timeline

Ensure consistent revenue & expense recognition across all entities

Review the monthly consolidated income statement and balance sheet analytics

Collaborate with the financial planning and analysis team on the month-end close process and related analytics and reporting

Prepare technical accounting position papers, as required, and assist with the documentation of policies and procedures

Work on automation and finance transformation projects

Monitor the development & applicability of emerging accounting & reporting rules

Maintain a system of effective controls, policies, and procedures over month-end activities

Manage and coach a team with a strong focus on team development - must have managed a team of 10+ based both domestically & internationally(SSC)

Coordinate with external auditors regarding the financial audit, group controls testing, as well as the statutory audits

Qualification
