This role involves delivering specialty pharmacy services, managing medication access, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide a variety of specialty pharmacy services including obtaining prior authorizations, enrolling patients in financial support programs, mail order tracking and drug inventory management, and coordinating first time dispenses and refills for specialty medications prescribed within UK HealthCare
Work closely with nurses, physicians, and UK Specialty Pharmacy staff to improve access to medications for a variety of sub specialty disease states

Required

High School
2 yrs
National Pharmacy Technician Certification thru either PTCB or ExCPT with CPhT designation and Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy
May include standing and/or walking for greater than 5 hours at a time
Walking could be of significant distance throughout the medical center campus for medication delivery to clinic patients
May require the ability to reach items above the shoulder level and to carry items up to 25 pounds
