Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, testing, and integration of software applications for DoD systems
Translate mission and operational requirements into scalable software architectures and solutions
Develop secure, efficient, and maintainable code in compliance with DoD cybersecurity and software assurance standards
Collaborate with system engineers, program managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with program objectives
Conduct code reviews, performance testing, and troubleshooting to ensure software quality and reliability
Guide junior engineers through mentoring and knowledge sharing
Support DevSecOps pipelines and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes for rapid deployment
Prepare documentation, technical reports, and briefings for leadership and stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Active TS/SCI Clearance
8+ years of experience in software engineering or related roles, with proven support of DoD or federal programs
Experience in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#
Experience with agile development, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git)
Knowledge of DoD software development lifecycle (SDLC), cybersecurity standards, and mission-critical systems
Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or DoD Cloud) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong understanding of system integration, APIs, and middleware
Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to design innovative solutions under tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting technical solutions to senior leadership

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required
Preferred
Familiarity with DoD functional mission areas of sustainment, maintenance, and life cycle support; prior experience on related projects is preferred
Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license (if applicable to field of study)
DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification (e.g., Security+)
Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP)
AWS/Azure Professional Certification (Cloud Solutions)
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar DevSecOps/Containerization certifications
