Responsibilities

Evaluate mission and system requirements

Conduct in-depth analyses

Recommend solutions to optimize performance, integration, and operational effectiveness

Work closely with program managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure system solutions align with mission objectives and DoD standards

Lead requirements analysis, functional decomposition, and system performance evaluations

Translate mission and user needs into technical specifications and system requirements

Conduct trade studies, gap analyses, and risk assessments to support decision-making

Develop and maintain system documentation, use cases, and process workflows

Support system integration, testing, and validation activities in lab, simulation, or operational environments

Provide analytical support for acquisition, modernization, and sustainment of defense systems

Ensure compliance with DoD standards, policies, and security requirements

Prepare reports, technical briefs, and recommendations for leadership and stakeholders

Mentor junior analysts and contribute to knowledge-sharing across the team

Required

Active TS/SCI Clearance

8+ years of experience as a systems analyst or in a related role, preferably in DoD or federal programs

Expertise in requirements management, system analysis, and functional decomposition

Experience with DoD acquisition processes, system lifecycle management, and mission systems

Experience in analytical tools and methodologies (e.g., DOORS, JIRA, MBSE tools, or equivalent)

Strong understanding of system integration, testing, and validation processes

Familiarity with DoD functional mission areas of sustainment, maintenance, and life cycle support; direct project experience preferred

Knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance standards for defense systems

Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to senior leaders and stakeholders

Strong problem-solving skills with ability to deliver innovative solutions
