Embedded Software Dev Engineer, Leo CT SW Team

Amazon is launching its low Earth orbit satellite network, Leo, aimed at providing reliable internet connectivity to underserved areas. The Embedded Software Dev Engineer will design and deploy embedded software for a range of consumer electronic products, working collaboratively within the BSP software engineering team.

Responsibilities

Develop embedded software for terrestrial devices within the Leo system
Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirements gathering, design, code, test, and code/test coverage
Developing embedded software in assembly, C, C++, Rust or other languages
Have experience with real-time embedded software philosophies and practices
Have expertise with Linux and RTOS
Review schematics, logic analyzer, and embedded software (bare-metal) trouble-shooting techniques

Required

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Develop embedded software for terrestrial devices within the Leo system
Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirements gathering, design, code, test, and code/test coverage
Developing embedded software in assembly, C, C++, Rust or other languages
Have experience with real-time embedded software philosophies and practices
Have expertise with Linux and RTOS
Review schematics, logic analyzer, and embedded software (bare-metal) trouble-shooting techniques
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
