Responsibilities
Provide guidance on departmental design guides, standards, systems, engineering codes, and company policies
Assist in developing and updating engineering standards
Offer technical guidance across projects and disciplines
Establish processes and promote a quality-focused culture
Support continuous improvement and change management initiatives
Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multiple or large-scale projects
Conduct research and make recommendations for equipment and material selection
Oversee data collection, analysis, and engineering work management
Prepare advanced engineering calculations and develop solutions to complex problems
Review lower-level engineering work and manage assigned budgets, schedules, and quality requirements
Lead production teams, coordinate multi-discipline activities, and serve as responsible charge for projects
Coordinate with internal and external team members
Define project schedules for single or multiple disciplines
Identify key client interests, needs, and drivers
Communicate client requirements to project teams and develop approaches to meet their objectives
Support business development and project pursuits as needed
Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to project teams
Support multiple projects with complex technical challenges
Contribute to professional societies, technical committees, and standards development
Be recognized externally as an industry expert
Oversee performance management, career planning, recognition, learning, and development
Implement resource management strategies
Manage engineering resources for small teams within a single discipline
Resolve resource conflicts and identify training needs
Ensure effective implementation and communication of policies, procedures, and processes
Ensure adherence to corporate programs
Approve timesheets and expense reports as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited program
Minimum 11 years of relevant experience
Ability to complete pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screening, and compliance checks
Professional registration or licensure may be required depending on the role, or active pursuit of such registration is expected
Preferred
Experience with LNG or FLNG projects
Working knowledge of HYSYS, Protreat, and Promax process simulation tools
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Strong written communication skills
Ability to set priorities, plan effectively, and manage conflict
Experience building effective teams
Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable standards
