Responsibilities

Manages a support system to identify research funding opportunities for SPH faculty. Conducts landscape assessments of public health opportunities among foundations, corporations, and agencies that align with faculty research expertise or SPH priorities
Collaborates in developing proposals and prospectuses with SPH researchers to articulate compelling research to external partners. Maintains partnership with internal teams (e.g., researchers, communications) and external partners (funding agencies, academic collaborators, industry partners) to achieve shared research goals
Provides stewardship for external research stakeholders, manages and strengthens relationships with funders, ensuring proper acknowledgement and demonstrating the impact of their contributions through reports and regular communication
Maintains excellent communications with SPH faculty, university advancement, and research development leads. Is the primary liaison in ensuring coordinated efforts that align SPH and university strategic priorities
Contributes to the organization’s strategic public health research goals by assisting in the development of strategies and initiatives that align research activities with the organization's overall objectives and promote a culture of innovation
Performs other duties as assigned
