Responsibilities
Prepare electrical design for large scale projects-industrial, institutional, office, retail, healthcare and other
Lead the electrical design process for large-scale, complex projects across multiple sectors, including industrial, institutional, healthcare, office, and retail
Prepare, sign and seal engineering drawings, reports, and specifications in compliance with state licensing requirements
Provide technical oversight and mentorship to electrical designers and junior engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables
Apply design knowledge in power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment specifications and selections
Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective resolutions
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and OSHA safety regulations
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm/systems design
Strong technical design expertise
Project leadership experience
Ability to deliver innovative, code-compliant engineering solutions for educational, commercial, healthcare, industrial, and institutional facilities
Prepare electrical design for large scale projects-industrial, institutional, office, retail, healthcare and other
Lead the electrical design process for large-scale, complex projects across multiple sectors, including industrial, institutional, healthcare, office, and retail
Prepare, sign and seal engineering drawings, reports, and specifications in compliance with state licensing requirements
Provide technical oversight and mentorship to electrical designers and junior engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables
Apply design knowledge in power distribution, grounding, lighting, control systems, and equipment specifications and selections
Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective resolutions
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and OSHA safety regulations
Must have advanced knowledge of electrical engineering and design and be familiar with applicable codes for building, energy, and construction standards and acceptable industry practices
Proven ability to serve as responsible-in-charge and manage the technical integrity of project deliverables
Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
10+ years of formal experience in electrical system design for buildings
Experience with Engineering Design software including SKM
Experience with Lighting Design and Photometric Software
Experience with latest versions of AutoCAD
Must have experience as a project lead on complex, multi-discipline engineering design projects
Strong verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to prepare written specifications, letters, reports and related contract documents
Must possess Bachelor or Master's degree in electrical engineering
PE License Required
10+ years of progressive experience in electrical system design for buildings
