The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is looking for dedicated students to fill the position of a temporary Behavioral Health College Intern. The successful candidate will assist with screening offenders for mental health symptoms, developing treatment plans, and providing evidence-based group therapy under supervision.

Responsibilities
Screening offenders for mental health symptoms
Developing treatment plans and participating in multi-disciplinary teams
Providing evidence based group therapy
Meeting with incarcerated individuals and documenting encounters using a SOAP note format
Assisting in re-entry planning through dialogue, referrals, and skill-building practices
Psychological testing
Qualification
Required
MUST BE ACCEPTED TO A COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY AND IN GOOD STANDING IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING FIELDS: Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or Related Field
Experience working with Microsoft Office
Technical Skills: Basic Documentation, Behavioral Health
Professional Skills: Active Learning, Attention to Detail, Listening, Coaching
