Power Platform Specialist I

This role involves gathering business requirements, developing automation solutions, and serving as a liaison between business lines and IT.

Responsibilities
Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups, and personnel with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced
Drive/Participate in design thinking-based workshops to identify, propose, and gather business requirements for automation solutions
Gather, document and understanding the business requirements, and translate those requirements into automation solutions in a form of a Power BI dashboard, or a Power app Canvas App
Ability to integrate Power Apps, Power BI and Power Automate that translates into full automation solutions for the business
Adhere to automation best practices across all process automation deliverables
Develop visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop based on business requirements; publish and support all dashboards across the company
Coordinate quality control and peer review processes to ensure integrity of the data available to users
Provide support as required to ensure the availability and optimized performance of developed solutions and dashboards for both external and internal users
Serve as Microsoft Power Platform Subject Matter Expert (SME), with technical expertise including system architecture, solution design, system configuration, and security management
Demonstrates ability to quickly learn emerging technologies
Keep up to date with new features and best practices in the Power Platform ecosystem
Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources and meetings in an effective and timely manner, and demonstrate respect for others

Qualification
Required

Experience interfacing with Power Platform solutions with Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and using Word, Outlook, and other templates
2-3 Years of experience in M365 Online and Power Platform development
Understanding of databases, APIs and RESTful web services and integrating with external systems
Use development best practices such as develop a minimum viable product (MVP), develop in sprints, and emphasize creating simple solutions over complex ones
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude
Excellent communicator – both verbal and written
Ability to work with/for multiple employees and meet deadlines
Facilitation and coordination of teams
Strong conceptual, analytical, and judgement abilities
Proficient in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop
Knowledge of data visualization and visual perception
Experience using AI Builder
Integrate Power Automate with Power BI, Power Apps and using standard and custom connectors
Experience building cloud flows for, not limited to, approvals, application integration and improving productivity
Design, build, test, and deploy Power Apps applications
Integrate Power Apps with other Microsoft 365 and third-party services
Strong UI design skills
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power Apps
Knowledge of SQL Server DB, MS SQL server, and SQL scripting
Preferred
Knowledge of data integration, data modeling and database design highly preferred
Experience with HR and/or Finance data is a plus
BS in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred – will consider 5-7 year of commensurate experience
Desired but not required Microsoft Power Platform certifications. (PL-100, PL-200, PL-300, PL-400)
Experience in providing business digital solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate)
