Responsibilities
Learn to interpret architectural and engineering blueprints, understanding the spatial relationships and dimensions depicted in the plans
Assist in preparing the construction site for layout activities, ensuring that the area is ready for accurate measurements and positioning
Gain expertise in using surveying equipment, laser levels, and other tools to take precise measurements and establish reference points
Collaborate with experienced layout engineers to ensure that structures, foundations, and key components align with the design plans
Participate in translating design dimensions onto the actual construction site, marking key points and lines for construction activities
Engage in quality checks to verify the accuracy of layout measurements, ensuring that they adhere to project specifications
Work closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment during the layout process
Contribute to finding solutions when discrepancies arise between design plans and on-site conditions, helping to maintain project integrity
Maintain accurate records of layout activities, measurements, and adjustments made during the construction process
Engage in learning opportunities to enhance your understanding of layout engineering techniques and tools
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Familiarity with construction layout techniques, instruments, and software
Proficiency in using AutoCAD, Total Station, and other relevant tools
Ability to interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications for accurate layout implementation
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and alignment
Clear verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with project teams
Willingness to troubleshoot layout challenges and find solutions on-site
Collaborative attitude, capable of working closely with other team members, contractors, and stakeholders
Effective time management skills to meet layout deadlines within project schedules
Ability to work on construction sites, often requiring standing, walking, and working outdoors
